Dr. Mikhail O. Nafiu is a Professor of Biochemistry at the University of Ilorin, Nigeria, with over 16 years of teaching and research experience. He has held several leadership roles, including Postgraduate Coordinator, Examinations Officer and Hall Master. While on sabbatical, he served as Head of Department and Director of Academic Planning at Summit University. His research spans toxicology, phytomedicine, drug discovery, and bioenergy, focusing on plant-based therapies. He has over 40 publications (h-index: 16; 1,113+ citations), supervised 20 MSc and 2 PhD students to completion, and serves as External Examiner at four Nigerian universities in addition to being a Professorial Assessor.
