Biography

Dr. Adedoyin Igunnu holds the position of Reader in the Department of Biochemistry within the Faculty of Life Sciences at the University of Ilorin. He completed his B.Sc., M.Sc., and Ph.D. degrees in Biochemistry in 2003, 2007, and 2012, respectively. His research focuses on Enzymology and Clinical Biochemistry, and he has authored over 30 articles published in reputable peer-reviewed journals within his field. Dr. Igunnu has been recognized for his scholarly contributions, receiving the Post-doctoral Fellowship Award from the National Research Foundation of Korea in 2014 and the Research Fund Award from the Royal Society of Chemistry in 2021. Apart from his academic pursuits, Dr. Igunnu has held various administrative roles, including Sub-Dean of the Faculty of Life Sciences, Examinations Officer, Postgraduate Coordinator, and Academic Level Adviser within the Department. Currently, he serves as the Chairman of the Curriculum Review Committee in the Department
