Biochemistry

Prof. Adedoyin Igunnu is a Professor in the Department of Biochemistry, Faculty of Life Sciences, University of Ilorin. He earned his B.Sc., M.Sc., and Ph.D. degrees in Biochemistry in 2003, 2007, and 2012, respectively. His research interests lie in Enzymology and Clinical Biochemistry, and he has authored over 40 publications in reputable peer-reviewed journals. Prof. Igunnu has received several accolades in recognition of his scholarly contributions, including the Postdoctoral Fellowship Award from the National Research Foundation of Korea (2014) and the Research Fund Award from the Royal Society of Chemistry (2021). In addition to his academic engagements, he has held several administrative roles such as Sub-Dean of the Faculty of Life Sciences, Examinations Officer, Postgraduate Coordinator, and Academic Level Adviser. He currently serves as Chairman of the Departmental Curriculum Review Committee and represents the Faculty on the University’s Academic Programme Review Committee.
