Biography

Professor Elizabeth Abidemi Balogun (B.Sc., M.Sc., Ph.D.) is an academic staff in the Department of Biochemistry, Faculty of Life Sciences, University of Ilorin. He is a seasoned researcher with over sixty-five publications in reputable, peer-reviewed journals of repute. She has supervised many postgraduate students at the Masters and Ph.D. levels. Her research expertise is in Biochemical Toxicology and Phytomedicine especially in the area of antimalarial development. Professor Balogun has served the University in various capacities including as Head of Department of Physiology and Biochemistry, Sub-Dean of the Faculty of Life Sciences and Head of Department of Biochemistry within the Faculty of Life Sciences. This don is a fellow of Nigeria Society for Experimental Biology and Nigeria Society of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology. She has served as assessor for Associate Professors and Professors from other universities. She has also served on National University Commission Accreditation Team to other Nigerian universities.
