Musa Toyin Yakubu is a Professor in the Department of Biochemistry, Faculty of Life Sciences, University of Ilorin. He has about 25 years of teaching, research and administrative experience in universities. Prof. Yakubu had served the University at various levels. He was the 5th Director of Central Research Laboratories and the immediate past Dean, Student Affairs Unit of University of Ilorin. His research interest includes screening of bioactive agents of reproductive capabilities from medicinal plants for the development of useful drug and their toxicities. He has published 213 articles in reputable local, national and international journals. Prof. Yakubu has guided about 920 students through their various undergraduate research projects, 60 Master degree dissertations and 36 doctoral theses. He is a Fellow of the Nigerian Society of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, Society for Experimental Biology of Nigeria (FNISEB) and the prestigious Nigerian Academy of Science (FAS).
